TREEHOUSE WHO'S WHO 4

Rose Selavy

Is that Marcel Duchamp over there? No, it's Rose! Famous lust object for the entire state of Israel Rose has only just recovered from the trauma of being the object of affection for Ivan (see under "I"...only joking!). Like the cat who walks under a painters ladder and accidentally gets a white skunk stripe down it's back & is then pursued by the insanely amorous Pepe Le Peu, Rose tried every ploy to get rid of the idiot until, Jack Lemmon-style, he removed his wig & said "Look, I'm a man!"
("Nobody's perfect."). His regular Treehouse icon (see Forum) endears him to everyone 'cos it looks like Del Boy's wife in the throes of something peculiar and sexual. He is distinguished by a high quality threshold to his postings, which are usually very funny and occasionally quite waspish, which is always good.

  1. All Time Favourite TV Programme - The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. Leonard Rossiter, John Barron and Geoffrey Palmer are superb throughout 3 series.
  2. Favourite Football Team - Watford - used to be my local team (actually Wealdstone used to be my local team, when Vinnie Jones and Stuart Pearce played for them). Watched Watford weekly (or weakly?) from about 1981 as they rose up the leagues, until about 1989, when other things began to take up my time.
  3. Dan was best on - Either Morning Edition on Radio 5 or Talk Sport with Danny Kelly.
  4. Favourite Sweet - Twix - I like 2 fingers at once...
  5. Favourite Crisp - Not strictly a crisp, but I'm into Jumbo Rice Crackers at the moment.
  6. Real Occupation - Graphic Designer - working in a London design agency - hence not much postage from me during the day, as I'm far too busy designing something which will be either ignored or thrown away unread.
  7. Celebrity you most resemble - 20 years ago it was Damian from Brookside. 10 years ago it was Dean Cain. Now it's looking more like Les Dawson.
  8. Track you'd like to represent you on a Treehouse CD - NTWICTH Vol 1 featured my choice as The Smiths - What Difference does
it Make? If I was to have something a little more chipper it would be
Lemon Jelly - Pushy, which starts "I don't like people much - I get
on better with animals". Although not stated in the lyrics, I think
they're talking about dogs in hats.
  9. Favourite Treehouse highlight or memory over the years - Being Ivan's fancy-piece for a while was interesting. I wonder if he ever did watch 'The Crying Game'.

Little Known Fact - Rose came from humble farming stock but achieved worldwide fame in 1991 by being the first person to win the Herts. and District Table Tennis Championship in both the Men's and the Women's singles.

Royal Berk

Self-nominated Monarch of the Democratic People's Shire of Berkshire, RB is also our very own Air Bass Guitar Player. Loves Sunsets and wrestling baguettes from Debbie McGee. AKA Panzer Duster.

  1. All time Favourite TV Programme - Too many to choose, I'll say 'Blackadder Goes Forth' for now, but by tea-time it'll probably be 'Life on Earth' by David Attenborough, or perhaps 'Thunderbirds'.
  2. Favourite Football Team - Crystal Palace, and despite medical care I'm told it's incurable.
  3. Dan was best on - Baker & Kelly...turmoil, sweet turmoil.
  4. Favourite Sweet - Kit-Kat, even though they are now made under the banner of the disgusting Nestle world domination corporation. If only I could resist...
  5. Favourite Crisp - Cheese & Onion, damn them...
  6. Occupation - I test software for money, though this hardly counts as a real
    occupation.
  7. What Celebrity do you most resemble - Kevin Whately, I am told, though whether he counts as a celebrity is debatable.
  8. Your track on the Treehouse CD - It's Too Late, Carole King - pure pop at its best
  9. Highlight or favourite ever thread on the Treehouse - Too much coffee has been inadvertently spilt over my keyboard in fits of laughing to be able to give a single memory, though Wyleu's rather disgusting attempts to keep up our liquid intake during those 'dark times' come immediately to mind.

Little Known Fact - Royal Berk is really Julio Inglesias, and posts from a gondola on the Thames Estuary.

Shaqun Asongoo

Like Martin Luther-King, Shaqun Asongoo has a dream. Unlike Martin
Luther-King, this dream involves lesbians and the world's first cream cake
theme park. Thankfully, though, Shaq keeps us full updated with his nightly
imaginings and can be relied upon for a pithy aside here, a funny
ejaculation there. It would be unkind to refer to him as a gnarled veteran
of the Treehouse but also accurate. Nevertheless he is, to our great
fortune, always any good. Reknowned for his desire to shag anything and everything that moves, especially those women in the 'older' bracket.

  1. All time Favourite TV Programme - The Singing Detective
  2. Favourite Football Team - Reading FC
  3. Dan Best On - R5, early '90s, no contest.

Little Known Fact on Shaq - He would Nanna, watch him.

Simon Tyers

The treehouse James Randi. No rumour, hoax or tall tale is safe from his jewellers eyepiece scrutiny. Keen Leicester City fan and contributor to square-eyed gogglebox nostalgia site TV Cream. One of the few (whisper it) double boarders.

Little Known Fact - Is heavier than this time last year (according to his wife), and the ceiling needs painting.

Sir David Attenborough

Naturalist,TV executive and a poster of wit and style. So much talent in one person, it's a shame that his posts are so rare these days. Possibly alone on the Board in not wishing Middlesboro FC any ill fortune.

Little Known Fact - Sir David Attenborough lives with fourteen ex pg tips monkeys on the isle of white, happy as larry.

Smudgeboy2002

Unlike the previous 2001 Smudgeboy's this one seems to be sticking around. Season after season a solid performer.

  1. All time Favourite TV Programme - If I'm only allowed one, it's got to be The West Wing. But NYPD Blue, Sopranos and Blackadder aren't far behind. Neither is Roobarb and Custard, if we're dealing in dark secrets.

  3. Dan was best on -Viagra! Oh, sorry, probably when he and Grooverider did their thang, I can't remember where and when that was (I'm quite old!)
  4. Favourite Sweet - Ah well, you see you have to distinguish between your basic flavours - fruity and chocolate (two of the three basic food groups, the other being ice cream, you understand). I am a bit of a sucker for Cadbury's Bournville Plain chocolate, but it's also VERY reckless to put me within reaching distance of jelly beans - but old-stylee ones, not those stupid Jelly-Belly ones with the flavours like "Snail and Asparagus".
  5. Favourite Crisp - Sadly, I'm a Walkers Ready Salted man.
  6. Occupation - work in marketing for a well-known motoring breakdown assistance company. No, not them, the other ones, in orange.

  9. Highlight or favourite ever thread on the Treehouse -Blimey! Honestly don't know, I tend to memorise funny instances, although for pure impact, I suppose it would have to be Joe Public's diaries during his battle with cancer. I'm still very moved by that whole thing.

Little Known Fact - Smudgeboy2002 can run the 100mtrs in 54 seconds, with his shoelaces tied together.

Soup Dragon

Named after a character from the Clangers, soupdragon will only respond to people who speak via the medium of swanny whistle. A man of few words, but boy, when he posts, actual words are used. His most memorable posts have been, his contributions to the Grand Prix threads, including, "yes, please" and "go on then" among many others.

Soup can be condensed quite easily. It is simply a case of taking the original broth and reducing it down through a secret process known only to the Campbell family and Andy Warhol. Soup Dragons can also be condensed through the well known cartoon process of dropping an Acme 100 Ton weight on them. Condensed soup is very popular throughout the known world. Condensed Soup Dragon is popular only on the Treehouse, the more condensed the better !

  Teebee

TeeBee or not TeeBee, that is the question, as Shakespeare once said. And as Eric Morecambe said rather more often, there's no answer to that. Of course, penicillin thankfully put paid to most TB years ago, but you'd still be well advised to wear a vest and scarf when it's chilly out, even now.

The 5 oclock Hero / Mike Jefferies

The Punmaster General. If someone were to post a thread entitled

For, lo, Vincent eased himself into a fresh pair of punderpants and sallied forth to do battle with the established names in the play-on-words game. Currently more than holding his own in exalted company, Vincent is by no means a one-trick punning pony. Far from it - he likes cricket and football, too. Wordbender

Treehouse naturalist and published author, knows more about the fauna
of this land than David Attenborough. Probably because he's eaten
most of them. Having lived off the land as a nature-boy type as a
youth, has settled down to a life of cosy, suburban domesticity; the
